Purpose and Mission
Beginning in the fall of 2006, a group
of dedicated community volunteers launched the District 113 Foundation.
Following collaborative conversations with staff, parents and other
community members, the District 113 Foundation pledged:
To support, enhance and enrich the education programs at Deerfield and Highland Park High Schools by
promoting innovative educational opportunities and increasing community
involvement in order to foster pride and ownership.”

The foundation receives funding from a broad-base of businesses and
individuals within the community as well as alumni. Significant in-kind and
financial contributions have been received as well.
